Natural abaca placemat, gold color, size 33 x 48 cm, with a precious and refined petal motif, HANDMADE. It can be cleaned with a damp sponge or with a dry stain remover. The abaca plant is native to the Philippines, but in the past its cultivation was also introduced in Southeast Asia and Latin America. The best species from which to obtain fibers is Musa textilis, a type of banana tree. Abaca is used for extremely flexible, light and resistant canvases, fabrics and cordage.
