Refined cream abaca envelope measuring 20 x 31 cm, with button and buttonhole to allow it to be closed. The abaca plant is native to the Philippines, but in the past its cultivation was also introduced in South-East Asia and Latin America. The best species from which to derive fiber is Musa textilis, a kind of banana. The abaca is used for paintings, textiles and extremely flexible, lightweight and durable cordage.
